Wooden Windows
New hardwood windows made in our workshop to the profile of your original joinery.
When a window really has reached the end, the replacement should look like the one the builder first fitted. We work from a survey of the existing joinery so the new window sits in the same reveal, with the same sightlines, rather than a stock section that shouts new.
Made to your building, not a catalogue
Every window is drawn from site measurements: box depth, horn detail, glazing bar width, cill projection. Nothing is standardised except the quality of the joint.
Single glazing, slim-profile double glazing or acoustic units, depending on what your street and your conservation officer require.
Timber choices
Oak and teak for exposed elevations, mahogany where wide sashes need to stay flat, beech and walnut for internal joinery and staining.
All timber is kiln-dried and moisture-tested before it is cut, which is why our windows still shut properly three summers later.
